In Feng Shui, there are three life areas that get affected when you worry:
- Marriage, Relationships and Partnerships (2)
- Center of Good Fortune and Gratitude (5)
- Wisdom, Self-Knowledge and Rest (8)
WALL THAT CONTAINS THE MAIN ENTRANCE
These life areas all work with the earth element. The earth element controls the continuum that goes from Intellectual Reflection/Rational Thinking to Worry/Obsessive Thoughts (the “monkey mind”).
When you are engaged in rational thinking, it is very easy to slip into worries. Yet when you give in to worry, it is impossible to have a rational thought. For this reason, to try and find a solution to your problems while in the midst of worry is completely useless. What you need to do, instead, is to clear your mind of worries.
When you feel yourself sinking into worries, change your activity to change your thoughts. If possible, do something that brings you joy, relaxation or peace. Traditional Feng Shui theory suggests singing as a way to counteract worries. Try it out.
The most important thing that I would like you to take from this article is that you should not trust the ideas you get while worried as they are coming from two very bad advisers: fear and desperation.
Trust the decisions you make when you feel at peace. Try meditating, any type of meditation that is easy for you to do. If sitting to meditate is too difficult for you, consider taking a moving meditation class, such as Tai Chi or Yoga.
As you empty your mind of worries, you make space for love, and that is when the good ideas come in!
