Who’s Mom Are You? And Who Are You When You’re Not a Mom?

Life Missions and Your Contract with Heaven

It’s a Feng Shui teaching that before you come into this life time, you make a contract with Heaven.

Your contract with Heaven is made up of the things you wanted to learn and experience for yourself and the things you are asked to do for others.

Your contract with Heaven is made up of your life missions.

Kids Change Everything

There are things you came to do as an individual that are independent from who you partner with or whether you have kids. However, when you have children, they become your life mission and all other things get moved to the back burner.

As your kids become more independent, you also become more independent from them, and as that happens your personal life missions come to the foreground.

  1. Moni, I am a wife, mother and grandmother, a helpmate to my husband sometimes to my own detriment because for example I try to help with things that are too heavy for me resulting in injury. I helped him dig ditches and broke two vertebrae in my back which is still painful and still healing.
I have two sons who have children of their own, so I have five grandchildren that I love and often babysit the two little ones. My passion is painting and others types of artwork but I have not painted for about 5 years mainly because “other” things took precedence. Like making this house a home. But I am now ready to take up my brushes again. I like to have my home inside and out looking good so my focus has been on that for the last 18 months. So I guess I’m still putting my needs last, so when I have my house feng shuied I will have time to focus on me.

    • I think we are raised to be nurturers and helpers. I’m sorry to hear about the back injury. I hope you get back to painting very soon!
