There are many aspects to a building or home — many things to take care of. A home is a complex system of building materials, finishing materials, layouts, rooms and furniture.
In order to understand your place and apply Feng Shui to it, it helps to classify Feng Shui issues in a way that makes sense.
Not every Feng Shui problem is the same. I’ve seen books with 101 Feng Shui Tips and calendars with a Daily Feng Shui Task for the whole year!
Sounds like fun, right?
However, if you follow these collections of tips you may end up with “a whole lot of nothing.”
What you need is a system that prioritizes all the Feng Shui tasks by categories and by order of importance.
All the Feng Shui problems you may find in a home can be characterized and grouped in one of three categories: Architecture, Interior Design, and Furniture. Each of these, in turn, pertains, philosophically, to one of three levels of existence: Earth (actions), Humankind (emotions), and Heaven (ideas).

The Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System® is a method to learn and practice Feng Shui that creates Dream Homes and Happy Lives. In the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System we correlate the nine principles of natural law of according to ancient Chinese philosophy, and we correlate them with nine steps that you have to take in the home to turn your home into a Dream Home where you can be happy with the people you love.
Number one, two, and three have to do with Architecture – that is for the Earth level of reality. Steps number four, five, and six have to do with Interior Design – which is the Humankind level of reality. And steps number seven, eight, and nine have to do with Furniture, which is the Heaven level of reality.
This one is for how the building was built – that is Action in the physical Universe. Interior Design has to do with our emotional connections to the space. And Furniture – that has to do with the most mobile aspects of the home, which are symbolically connected to our ideas.

Answer these questions below using the “reply” feature:
Do you feel less overwhelmed about tackling the Feng Shui of your home now that you have learned that not all problems have the same importance?
What is the biggest Feng Shui problem you perceive in your home at the moment?
Do you feel less overwhelmed about tackling the Feng Shui of your home now that you have learned that not all problems have the same importance? Absolutely! :-). So much more relaxing. It was rather comical to imagine me running from one thing to another to fix this and fix that and be overwhelmed. I was always able to help others with “one thing at a time” but couldn’t listen to my own advice.
What is the biggest Feng Shui problem you perceive in your home at the moment? To turn a big, grey, square, modern box into warm, comfortable, inviting home. Architecture is sound, only one tiny fix. Stairs and hallways are next.
