When I first created the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System I thought of it mainly as a way to organize and remember information.
Overtime, however, I realized that if clients followed the 9 steps in order results were simply better and faster.
It makes sense.

Until the floor plan is complete (step 1), you’ll have a very hard time creating balance at home (step 2).
Until you have balanced staircases and hallways (step 2), you won’t be able to have good chi (step 3), as it will all be drained down the stairs.
Every step creates the foundation on which the following step builds up.

TRANSCRIPT:
When I first discovered Feng Shui, I was very confused by it. So I made these charts, trying to make sense of Feng Shui, and that’s when I realized there was a connection with numbers.
There were nine principles of healing, and I thought it would be neat to put them in order. I decided to call them steps, the Nine Steps to Feng Shui, and visually arrange them as if you were going up the steps.
I was just using the numbers to organize the information so that it could be learned and applied a little bit easier. But over time I realized that if you applied these steps in the right order the results for the people who work with me would be much more impressive, both in their spaces and in their lives.
To my surprise, later on I would find out that the theme of nine steps had a very important place in ancient Chinese architecture.
A Sequence that Makes Sense
Roughly, you’re addressing Feng Shui issues in this order:
- Shape of the floor plan
- Staircases and hallways
- Entrance doors and large windows
- Window treatments
- Colors and patterns
- Art, mirrors and photographs
- Home organization
- Nine life areas enhancements
- Furniture placement
The result of following this order is the dream home.
The result of living in a dream home is a fulfilled life.

Everything You Believe to Be True About Life is Expressed in Your Home
You affect your home and your home, in turn, has an effect on you. You establish a feedback loop with your place.
The feedback loop may be positive or negative, but it’s never neutral.
Feng Shui – applied the right way – gives you control over what your home tells you, and whether your home is your supportive partner or a constant drain.
Let the home take care of you by applying the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System with Moni.
1 – Have you felt overwhelmed when learning about Feng Shui cures or enhancements, not knowing how to go about it or what to do first?
Yes. Definitely. To begin in the numerical order is very fun and relaxing. In the past, I would work on the area of lack and it’s diagonal partner, and that worked – but often worked out of balance and in an extreme way. I prefer the relaxation of laying a solid foundation and not missing anything and moving on from 1, 2, 3, etc. I still “bounce” a bit, but I always come back to 1st things 1st.
2 – Do you feel relief at the thought that a path has been marked for you that will guide you to do what’s most important first? Yep.
