Luck Begins with Nature

your home can help you get luckier

Luck is not random. It is not something reserved for a chosen few. In Feng Shui, luck is the natural result of being in the right place at the right time.

But think about that for a moment.

How can you be in the right place if you are disconnected from your surroundings? And how can you be in the right time if you are not aware of time itself?

A constant connection with nature is what keeps you oriented, aware, and responsive. It allows you to feel when to act, when to pause, and when to move forward.

This is why connection to nature is not optional. It is essential.

Step 4: Staying Connected to the Natural World

In the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System, Step 4 is all about connecting your home to nature.

This includes simple but powerful things like:

🟣 Letting natural light into your home
🟣 Opening window treatments
🟣 Making sure your clocks show the correct time

These are not small details. They are how your home stays aligned with the rhythms of the natural world.

When your home is in sync, you are in sync.

What Happens When There Is No Connection

Now consider the opposite.

What happens when there are no windows?
Or when the blinds stay closed all the time?
Or when a space never sees natural light?

You become disconnected.

The space begins to feel stagnant, heavy, and lifeless. Over time, that feeling affects you. It becomes harder to feel clear, motivated, or inspired.

From a Feng Shui perspective, this is not just uncomfortable.

It is unlucky!

Because when you are cut off from nature, you lose your sense of timing and direction.

A Simple and Powerful Fix

The good news is that this problem has a very easy solution.

You can bring nature in.

Not symbolically. Not abstractly. Visually and intentionally.

🟣 Add images of nature to your walls
🟣 Choose scenes that feel alive and expansive
🟣 Place them where you will naturally see them throughout the day

These images act as a bridge. They reconnect the space to the natural world, even when a real window is not available.

Example: A Finished Basement

Imagine a finished full basement.

No windows.
No natural light.
A space that feels drab, dry, and cave-like.

It is the kind of environment that drains your energy just by being in it.

Now picture adding a large photograph of a meadow on the wall next to a kitchenette.

Everything changes.

The space softens. It feels more open. More alive. Less forgotten.

It no longer feels desolate. It becomes a place you can actually enjoy spending time in.

Taking It One Step Further

You can deepen this transformation even more by using your TV.

Instead of leaving it as a blank, dark screen, you can turn it into a source of connection.

🟣 Play nature videos when you are not actively watching TV
🟣 Use a nature image as a screensaver or wallpaper
🟣 Choose scenes of nature in movement, like the wind going through a forest

This adds motion and life to the space, something still images alone cannot always provide.

Bringing Your Home Back to Life

When you use your walls and your TV to introduce nature, you are doing more than decorating.

You are restoring connection.

You are helping your home feel aligned, responsive, and alive again.

And when your home feels alive, so do you.

That is where luck begins.
