Preparing a Home with No Walls for a New Baby

Liat is an artist and small business owner from California living in Western Mexico.

Liat went to Mexico on vacation and fell in love with a Mexican surf instructor. They got married and had a baby.

When Liat contacted me this spring she didn’t know it, but she was already pregnant with her second child.

I think the pregnancy contributed to her nesting instinct, in wanting to Feng Shui her apartment, even though it was a rental.

The apartment is all open concept – there are no internal walls except for the ones enclosing the bathroom.

At the bottom of this page I have placed some before and after photos and the transformations that occurred in each area of the home, in Liat’s own words.

But before we get to that, I want to share with you some short videos from a conversation Liat and I had about her experience as a client in the Feng Shui Immersion Journey.

Direct Access to Moni and Constant Feedback

One of the most amazing aspects of getting a consulting service with Feng Shui for Us is that we do monthly subscriptions instead of hourly consultations.

We “meet” in an online group that is private and secret (only the client and I can see it or even know it exists) and in that group we have daily interactions where I give you easy, simple tasks to improve your home and your life.

Help with Shopping

One of the things clients most love about the Feng Shui Immersion Journey is the help they get with shopping.

There’s absolutely no decision about your home that you have to make on your own, and you can be sure that your purchases are going to be right for your home before you even buy them.

Receiving Lots of Gifts

One of Liat’s favorite things about the Feng Shui Immersion Journey was that I gave her access to study materials that she needed as she progressed with her Feng Shui. While courses and classes are not required – I can just give you guidance without any need for you to study anything – I do make them available to clients who have a thirst for learning as they do the work.

Liat’s Before and Afters

Take a look at some of the amazing transformations that happened in Liat’s home. The descriptions of both the before and after photos are in Liat’s own words. 😊

Liat really disliked the three panel “art” that came with the apartment, but the landlord had refused to take it down. As Liat was close to finish her Feng Shui Immersion Journey the landlord agreed to remove it and Liat was able to place art that she loved. The daybed, which before was just collecting dust and clutter, became the center piece of a sitting area that the whole family enjoys.
Because the floor is hard ceramic tile, Liat and her husband opted for sleeping close to the floor, to avoid the children falling. Padded headboards were added to provide comfort and a feeling of security. The Christmas lights were replaced with hosed lights going along the corner and ceiling so that they are imperceptible during the day, but provide a soft glow at night.
Liat and her spouse had to make the transition from being free-spirited surfers to parents of one kid, and then two. Whereas before they didn’t mind sitting on the floor to eat, in a very informal way, they understood the need of creating a proper dining area in the home, where great conversations happen with family and friends.

Everything You Believe to Be True About Life is Expressed in Your Home

You affect your home and your home, in turn, has an effect on you. You establish a feedback loop with your place.

The feedback loop may be positive or negative, but it’s never neutral.

Feng Shui – applied the right way – gives you control over what your home tells you, and whether your home is your supportive partner or a constant drain.

Let the home take care of you by applying the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System with Moni.
