The House of Many Gardens – Feng Shui Secrets for Home Landscaping

The House of Many Gardens, Feng Shui Secrets for Home Landscaping

Design a Garden, Design Your Life!

The House of Many Gardens, Feng Shui Secrets for Home Landscaping by Monica P. Castaneda, Moni.

Your home landscaping should evoke the happiness you experienced as a child enjoying nature.

A Different Approach to Landscaping

My approach to landscaping is different, and I’ll tell you why.

When people reminisce about their early childhood, they often recall the gardens and outdoor spaces where they played and discovered the wonders of nature. Some may talk about fishing trips with their grandfathers or splashing in pools or ponds with siblings and cousins. Others might remember learning about herbs and vegetables while helping their grandmothers with the garden. Interestingly, it’s challenging to dissociate landscaping and gardening from memories shared with grandparents and extended family.

However, as adults, many lose that cherished connection to the outdoors and turn to magazines and gardening shows for inspiration. Often, they set overly ambitious goals, which can lead to wasted money, energy, and resources on projects that either remain unfinished or become difficult to maintain year after year. Many people conclude that this is a job that should be given to professionals for them to execute and for the homeowners to admire but not use.

“The House of Many Gardens” reads very smoothly and tells interesting stories about the author’s life as a backdrop to teaching valuable Feng Shui points. When reading it, I got a sense of her life in two countries and learned some Feng Shui! It is written in an easy, comfortable conversational style, and I will be checking out more of her books! If someone’s curious as to Feng Shui, and how it deep the effects of it can be, I think this book is a good introduction. 5/5 stars

Rekindle Your Love for the Outdoors

The House of Many Gardens aims to rekindle your love for the outdoors and highlight the activities that bring you joy.

But what is stopping people from creating the gardens of their dreams?

I have observed that many people make spontaneous visits to nurseries or home improvement stores purchasing plants simply because they find them appealing. They often overlook the specific needs these plants require to flourish.

Sometimes they buy a plant with stunning blooms, not realizing it only flowers for one month out of the whole year. Additionally, they neglect to consider the final size of a bush or tree before planting it.

Essential Guidelines for Designing Stunning Gardens

While this book isn’t a technical manual on gardening, it provides essential guidelines for designing stunning and beautiful gardens in your home regardless of your location or local soil and weather conditions.

This book shares valuable Feng Shui principles related to gardening, ensuring that your plants foster a strong connection to nature both inside and outside your home. Each plant, bush, and pot will serve a purpose, generating positive energy and good fortune in your living space.

It weaves solid practical advice on how to set up your home and garden spaces to help engineer a life that works for you. A Journey of Discovering Joy Through Nature

In The House of Many Gardens, I share my journey of discovering joy in the first home I remember. A charming estate with exquisite gardens that beautifully connected the indoor and outdoor areas. This created a backdrop for many happy family memories. By exploring the stories of family life within this garden field home, along with insights from architectural studies and Feng Shui research, you’ll acquire a fresh perspective on landscaping.

This knowledge will empower you to create gardens that truly impress and make you feel connected to family, friends, and nature.

I recall countless details from the house where I resided from ages 2 to 5, largely due to the many critters that captivated me. I would chase after butterflies, bees, birds, dragonflies, ladybugs, and lizards while exploring the gardens on my own. In this book, each aspect of effective landscaping is covered in individual chapters, including trees, flower beds, potted plants, lawns, patios, and more, all in relation to the living creatures that thrive in these environments.

The House of Many Gardens, Feng Shui Secrets for Feng Shui Landscaping

I wrote this book to inspire you to design your life through the attention and care you give to the living plants inside and outside your home. These living beings are part of your community, and your companions in life.

Through your implementation of the knowledge in this book I also want to be your companion as you design your gardens to design your life. I poured my soul and my knowledge into it.

I hope you take it in, and use the knowledge to create beautiful indoor and outdoor gardens that are easy to care for and maintain. so that as your gardens thrive, you thrive.
